Intoxicating vocals, captivating lyricism, and refreshing production are the perfect recipe for an intoxicating collection of summer jams, courtesy of Show Dem Camp in joint forces with The Cavemen and Nsisak David.
Rap duo ShowDemCamp has blessed us with their latest album, “No Love In Lagos,” a masterpiece that continues their legacy in the Nigerian music scene.
This 11th studio album, following the beloved “Palmwine Music 3” from 2022, is a 10-track journey that takes us deep into the heart of their unique “palmwine sound.”
In “No Love In Lagos,” Ghost and Tec of ShowDemCamp artfully intertwine their smooth flows with the enchanting highlife melodies of The Cavemen, the talented sibling duo of Benjamin James and Kingsley Okorie.
With the genius touch of celebrated guitarist Nsikak David and the brilliant production of Spax, this album bridges the worlds of hip-hop and African storytelling.

It’s a vibrant collection, from introspective moments in tracks like “Blessings” to the infectious energy of “OMFTR,” each song weaving its own story into this rich musical tapestry. The album is a love letter to Lagos, filled with rhythm, soul, and a touch of nostalgia.
“[We’re] opening a dimension of what potentially African hip-hop could sound like,” Show Dem Camp’s Tec tells Apple Music. “A lot of times, [in Africa we lean on popular sounds from the West. As Show Dem Camp, we’re Nigerian rappers, [and so] our influences are closer to home.”

The project casts the titular Nigerian metropolis as something of an additional collaborator, with storytelling that unpacks the highs and heartaches of daily life in the big city.
“This is the most fun we’ve had recording an album in a long time and it shows in the music. Big love to our brothers from the cave, The Cavemen and Nsikak David,” ShowDemCamp shared.
A flurry of singles has exhibited their collaborative flair, drawing the likes of Obongjayar, Tim Lyre, Moelogo, and Ruti into the musicians’ world.
Out now in full, ‘No Love In Lagos’ is built for summer use – refreshing, intoxicating songwriting, the crisp production by Spaxx gives just the right amount of bounce to the songcraft.
The Cavemen will hit We Out Here Festival on August 15th, before flying to New York for the Palm Wine Festival on August 17th.
