Kenyan Songstress Victoria Kimani Is In The ‘Mood 4 Life’
The beloved artist showcases her evolution as a musician and entertainer with her fifth studio album ‘Mood 4 Life’, released on 19th July 2024.
The star, known for her hits ‘China Love, ‘Wonka’, and ‘Prokoto’, has been teasing the long-awaited album, releasing several singles including ‘Inconsistent’ and ‘My Shine’, teasing song snippets on social media, as well as the album’s cover, keeping fans on their toes for the past couple of months.
Answering a Q&A poll on her Instagram during the week leading to the release, she shared that she recorded about 70 songs, and then narrowed it down to the best 13, a process that took her and her team more than three years to complete. She worked tirelessly to give what is now arguably some of her best work, including her first French/Lingala song, ‘Moula’.
The mostly self-produced album, with contributions from TonyRossBest, Alexay Beats, and Drey Beatz, promises a “no skips” auditory experience, with features from artists like Joshua Baraka, PsychoYP, and Qwiss.
A day after the release of the album, she released the first music video, for the song ‘My Shine’, shot at the HAMZ Stadium in Kampala, Uganda. She promises more captivating visuals to accompany her hits, and even hinted at a possible deluxe edition of the album in the near future.
‘Mood 4 Life’ adds to her long track record of successful projects, ‘Safari’, ‘Afropolitan’, ‘Afreaka’, and ‘Spirit Animal’. The songstress continues to solidify her spot at the top, and we cannot wait to see what more she has in store for us.
