FIFA Taps Tems, J Balvin, and Doja Cat for Historic Halftime Show at 2025 Club World Cup Final

In a landmark moment for global music and sport, FIFA has announced a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Global Citizen for the inaugural halftime show at a FIFA competition. The historic performance will take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, during the FIFA Club World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium, New York–New Jersey, with Tems, J Balvin, and Doja Cat slated to headline the show.

This unprecedented event signals a new era for football and entertainment, marking the fusion of cultural impact with social responsibility on a truly global stage.

“Together we are going to make history on a special occasion where football and music unites the world,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who officially announced the partnership on social media earlier today.

This will be the first halftime show ever at a FIFA competition, curated by none other than Coldplay’s Chris Martin. The show promises not only to thrill millions of fans around the globe but also to raise awareness for a powerful cause: global access to education.

Through this partnership, FIFA and Global Citizen are pledging support for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a transformative initiative aiming to give every child the opportunity to learn, play, and dream. A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold for the final will go toward the fund.

“This show will be unforgettable – not just for its spectacle on a landmark night, but also for the lasting impact it will make,” added Infantino.

Spotlight on Tems: Nigeria to the World

Among the star-studded lineup, Nigeria’s Tems continues her ascension into global superstardom. This performance further cements her legacy as one of the most important voices of her generation, proudly carrying African music into unprecedented spaces—from the Oscars stage to the World Cup Final.

Joining her are Colombian reggaeton sensation J Balvin and genre-bending powerhouse Doja Cat, rounding off a global trio representing rhythm, culture, and undeniable stage presence.

The Bigger Picture: Music as Global Citizenship

With Global Citizen at the helm—an organization known for mobilizing millions to end extreme poverty through music and advocacy—this halftime show is more than just entertainment. It’s a platform for awareness, for unity, and for driving action through culture.

As the world tunes in to see the world’s top football clubs battle for glory, all eyes will also be on the stage—where three of the world’s most influential artists will light up MetLife with a message of hope, rhythm, and transformation.
