The Sebuleni Collective has been invited by the visionary teams at Wardrobe Banter and Kilibasi Design Studio to bring its signature flair and underground spirit to the next edition of CHENZA: Benga Edition, happening on Friday, September 5th, at Muze Club, Kenrail Towers, Westlands.
Chenza is an annual immersive series that bridges music, set design, and interactivity to tell powerful African stories. Having explored Nollywood nostalgia and celebrated “money green” in past editions, Chenza now returns with its official launch edition — Benga, a tribute to one of Kenya’s most vibrant and foundational musical genres.

This Benga Edition is more than just a party. It is a story-driven cultural experience designed to honor the rhythm, movement, and enduring legacy of Benga, one of Kenya’s most influential sounds. Guests will be transported into a multi-sensory world where design, storytelling, and music converge to celebrate Kenya’s artistic heritage.
As part of the curation, Sebuleni Collective will take over Room 2, delivering an eight-hour experimental sonic journey featuring all four resident DJs of the collective. Expect a signature Sebuleni experience — genre-fluid, immersive, and deeply rooted in culture — designed for the new-age aunties and uncles who know the value of community, rhythm, and togetherness.

“Chenza represents a moment where past, present, and future African creativity collide. We’re honored to bring the Sebuleni spirit into this narrative and curate a space where people can connect through sound, culture, and storytelling.” — The Sebuleni Collective
