A Festival with African Roots

Since its launch in Nairobi in 2008, Blankets & Wine has grown into one of Africa’s premier cultural festivals. Known for its signature blend of live music, DJ sets, food markets, fashion, and lifestyle experiences, the event has expanded across East Africa with editions in Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda.

Now, for the first time, the festival is stepping beyond the continent — bringing its vibrant African spirit to European audiences.

Partnership for Cultural Exchange

The Bradford edition is being presented in partnership with the British Council as part of UK/Kenya Season 2025, underscoring the event’s commitment to:

  • Artistic collaboration
  • Cultural exchange
  • Celebrating Bradford’s diverse communities

Festivalgoers can expect a truly global experience — one that fuses African creativity with Bradford’s own rich cultural heritage.
