Nairobi, Kenya – August 2026 — Sebuleni, Nairobi’s independent listening house dedicated to Deep House culture and intentional community gathering, returns to Shelter KE on Sunday, 30 August 2026, for a special edition that brings together music lovers, selectors, and cultural enthusiasts for twelve hours of carefully curated sound.
Rooted in Deep House as its musical North Star, Sebuleni continues to cultivate a listening culture that values depth over spectacle, patience over haste, and community over performance. Each edition is designed as a shared journey where music becomes a medium for conversation, memory, and collective experience.
While this edition coincides with founder Jordan Abiola Bolade’s birthday month, the gathering is not conceived as a birthday celebration in the traditional sense. Instead, it is an invitation to mark another year through one of Sebuleni’s founding beliefs: that some of life’s most meaningful celebrations happen when people come together to listen, reflect, connect, and share music with intention.
This month’s programme brings together a carefully sequenced lineup of selectors, each contributing a distinct chapter to the day’s musical narrative:

As always, Deep House remains the foundation of the experience, complemented by soulful, broken beat, rare groove, and other carefully selected sounds that embody the same spirit of emotional depth, craftsmanship, and intentional listening.
